Rock On & The 5 Star Club
Rock On is rocking. Movie was too good so was Farhan. All the other 3 guys were also good. Specially I liked KD. This guy has always brought smile on our faces with his cute smiles. But one thing that I felt was, it was like I have already watched this kind a movie. Where When, then I recalled, oh yes Rand De Basanti, i felt it was moving like RDB, sometimes present, then went to past.. i was like always trying to relate, join the pieces from the past and present. Sometimes, I felt bore.. but all in all it was a nice attempt by Farhan. Reminded me of my young age days. I also with 4 of my friends had organised a similar kind of event. We 5, named our club - The Five Star Club. And we have organised a Dance competition. We were totally clueless from where we'll arrange money and then sponsors. We were also not sure where we'll arrange it but somehow, we all started. We arranged for sponsors, we oursleves created banners, installed them on the vital points in the city. We oursleves went to newspaper wala at 5:00 am to put pamphlets in the newspaper. We went to ambala cantt to get the shields for prize distribution. We got money for cash prize from sponsors. We got auditorium of the Girls college. On the D-Day we were surprised, overwhelmed with the response we got. We were expecting around30-40 particpations, we got more than 80. We were expecting audience of about 15-200, there was a gathering of more than 500. We also invited tapri walas to put their stalls and give us some percentage :) thats how we were able to arrange more money. We called up the local MLA as chief guest. We got police protection too. All in all it was a nice and very adventerous journey for us. But then, we were all bound to our destinys. We somehow could not get back to the track again. And that was our first and last show that we organised. I still miss those old pals and those days. :(
