Back to Pavallion

Well, I am back after a long break. I was in Kurukshetra (The Land Of Mahabharata - my native place) to celebrate Diwali, Karwa and Bhaiya Dooj (3 occasions in 1 leave plan). It was a nice vacation and I enjoyed a lot and more than me wifey enjoyed it. I took her to Chandigarh - The City Beautiful, then we went to Shimla, stayed there for 3 days and then came back by toy train (will post the fotos soon..). It was really a refreshing experience. I was there at those places after 7 years. Earlier I went there with my friends in 2001 with Suzy, Monty and with whole RICM group. Now what this RICM is, will introduce you guys later. So, we went to Jakhoo temple and and then came back and had lunch in ICH. ICH is there too :) .. Wifey and mommy went on a shopping spree and dad and I came to railway station to book tickets for toy train. Huh, we were late.. counter got closed sharp at 5:00 pm. i.e. we had lunch just an hour before that.. neways we came back on the ridge again and our legs were shivering. Shivering - When I told this to Karuna aka KK.. he said that there is a special technique to use when you start getting down on hilly areas and the paths are too steep.. you have to use ankle locks and not the knee joint locks.. he also mentioned about the posture that he learned in Leh while his dad was on a visit there in some army camp. I thought, i must have a look into it that what caused our legs shivering. I found that its basically your posture that drags you while walking down hill and uphill and not any locks - still i m not sure about it.. so keep your posture right and use a stick while going downhill or uphill. Stick does help in maintaining yuor posture right and you can cover more distance on hilly areas. Anyways.. wifey and honey had pizzas in the dinner and dad, mommy and i had dinner in Himani's on the Mall Road. We just had soups and Dry Chilly Chicken and thats it.. we were full.. Chilly Chicken was very delicious.. we came back by around 8:30.. It was getting too cold and we can see couples, newly weds and only bachelors roaming around there on the Mall road. Then we left for the hotel, Hotel Grand, by the way it was nice. We got a dedicated servant for us who was there for 24 hrs.. We also come to know that the ticket counter will get open at 8:30 am next morning and dad was too curious to go by train that he asked the 24 hr dedicated personality to go there in the morning and get tickets. He went but again... something else happened, he was told that now only Tatkaal Seats are left and booking for those will start at 9:30 am. Then Dad rushed there at 9:30 and got tickets for us. We all were happy that atlast we all will enjoy the beautiful 5 hour journey from Shimpla to Kalka. I could not sit on my seat for 1 hour. All the time I was standing at the door and was clicking pictures. Will post the fotos and who are these RICM people - later... till then.. plan some thing for Shimla guys..
